LGMAA Mini-Golf Classic Results

 Thanks to the joined effort of many alumni, the LGMAA Mini-Golf Classic was a huge success, raising $5,463.86!  A portion of the proceeds will be used to fund strategic planning for the organization in February.

Strategic Planning
A good organization is always planning for the future and LGMAA is no exception.  With the assistance of Paul Moss, The Growth Coach, the LGMAA Counsel will engage in workshop to plan the organization’s goals for the next 3 years and the means to achieve those results in mid-February.  Stay tuned for the exciting developments!

We had a great night for our fun and successful LGM AA mini golf outing at Vitense Golfland in October. We had over 60 registrants ready to hit the indoor putting range! We’d like to thank to our many hole sponsors:

Kudos to the committee that put on the silent auction, which had prizes ranging from skyboxes at UW Athletic events to tours, wine, packages for car care, cleaning, cooking, spas, and more!

All told, the event netted $5,300.00 to support the LGM AA and our Community Action Teams! Dollars to support the Community Action Teams will go back into the community as we seek solutions to real-world problems for small business and non-profits.

Join your fellow LGM’ers for a fun evening of mini-golf at the Leadership Greater Madison Alumni Association’s annual mini-golf outing on October 12, 2010 at Vitense Golfland (5501 Schroeder Road).
 
5:15 p.m.:  Registration followed by hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar
6:15 p.m.:  Tee time

Here is an event you will NOT want to miss!

On Tuesday 11/3 we’re taking over the Indoor Mini Golf Course at Vitense Golf Land. Pretend it’s still summer while playing the 18 hole course featuring landmarks from around Madison such as the Capitol and the lakes.

Playing there is fun, even more so with your LGM Alumni group.

Help support our Community Action Teams which begin November 15th and also grow the LGM Alumni Endowment fund at Madison Community Foundation fund by bringing a foursome to this event. You’ll be treated to a light dinner, cash bar, an 18-hole mini golf event, and you can buy raffle tickets so you can win prizes.

Tuesday, November 3rd
5:15 p.m. registration starts, buy your on-site raffle tickets
5:15 p.m. light dinner and cash bar
6:15 p.m. tee off
After everyone is done golfing we’ll award raffle prizes.

Why should you become engaged in LGM AA

These are tough economic times, and staying engaged with other professionals can pay off in a myriad of ways. You can find volunteers for a project, share advice, stay on top of the business environment, and grow your network. Do you need to attain additional skill sets for your current job or the future? Do you have expertise in an area you would like to share? You have a network with the LGM Alumni. What better way to access connections and opportunities then involve yourself with fellow LGMers?

Following are some opportunities that we have available right now.

Class Champion: Stay connected with your LGM class. We are looking for a couple of representatives from each class to aid the membership committee in staying connected.  The Alumni Association is in the midst of rolling out a comprehensive membership structure to fulfill our obligation of staying Informed. Engaged. Connected.  To volunteer to be one of your class champions, please contact Tim Hyland at hyland@visitmadison.com or 441-3950.  The work is simple, just help the Alumni Association communicate with your classmates and keep our information current. 

Event planning: Bryon Thompson (LGM 11) and Marcia Philipps Hyzer (LGM 7) are looking for a team of people to help coordinate the Indoor Mini-Golf outing in October.
